This Giving Season, generous donors are offering $40K in Challenge Grants that will boost donor dollars to TCDA. Challenge Grants can take a number of forms but the idea is the same: at certain hours & on certain days, nonprofits & donors will be rewarded for exemplary fundraising efforts. Challenge grants for today, Dec. 1 include:
  • #GivingTuesday Challenge: First 5 organizations to receive 20 unique gifts of $50 or more receive $1,000 grants!
  • Nifty Fifty Challenge: The 1 organization that receives the most unique donations of $25 or more from the most U.S. States receives $1,000!

GIVE BACK TAHOE GIVING GUIDE

Give Back Tahoe Giving Guide celebrates the Season of Giving with gratitude and generosity.  The Giving Guide is both a printed directory and online portal to provide nonprofits the opportunity to gain exposure to- and start relationships with- new donors. For most, the end of the year marks a time for reflection and gathering with loved ones and neighbors.  It is also an opportunity to strengthen and support our community.  The second annual Giving Guide will launch on Giving Tuesday, December 1st, and run through December 31, 2015.

More than 1/3 of all charitable contributions are given during the last three months of the year.  This generosity is imperative to helping nonprofits reach their end-of-year goals. Through the giving guide, Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation and Sierra Sun showcase many of the outstanding organizations that serve our region while cultivating a unique and vibrant nonprofit community. We are proud to be a part of such a fantastic and altruistic region, and we want to share it with everyone who shares our love for Tahoe!

Participate in our giving season by sharing the guide with your friends and family, supporting one of our local nonprofits, or offering your time by volunteering. By donating to the causes you care about through this website, we measure our collective end-of-year giving.
