The TCDA is a non-profit, 501 C6 corporation comprised of local merchants, property owners, community associations, residents, professionals, and contributors who are committed to working together to formulate, direct, and forge a sound and prosperous future for Tahoe City and the entire North Lake Tahoe area.

We welcome your participation and invite you to get involved in supporting the TCDA and its goals. Your support as a member, sponsor, and/or volunteer is vital to the success of our organization and of Tahoe City.

To create a vibrant and prosperous place to live, work, play and visit.

To serve as the local voice in the promotion and enhancement of the Tahoe City community and its businesses

Katie Biggers
Executive Director

Since 2019, Biggers has worked as the Chamber Manager and Senior Event Specialist for the North Lake Tahoe Resort Association (NLTRA). In that role, she was responsible for the management and facilitation of all Chamber of Commerce activities, as well as special event sponsorship, event selection and management, creation and execution of all contracts, budget management, communications, and on-site event promotion and activation. During her tenure, Biggers was instrumental in the execution of rent relief and other programs designed to aid local business owners.

Hanna Suttle

Events & Community Engagement Manager

Originally from the Foothills of Placer County, Hanna Suttle relocated to Tahoe a decade ago. With a solid educational background from both FIDM and UNR she holds a hands-on experience in both Business Management and Marketing. Specializing in event planning, market research, and communications, she has successfully executed a variety of projects, ranging from large-scale events to extensive marketing campaigns. Outside of her professional life, Hanna enjoys outdoor activities like skiing and spending quality time with her family and furry companion around Lake Tahoe, embracing the adventurous spirit of the region. Hanna remains dedicated to making a positive impact through her work and active involvement in her local area and here at Tahoe City Downtown Association.

Ashley Anderson Office Manager

Originally from New Hampshire, Ashley found her way to Tahoe in 2012. A true nature enthusiast, she thrives amidst Tahoe’s stunning vistas, finding inspiration and rejuvenation in its boundless beauty. Bringing a fusion of expertise in restaurant management, marketing, and event coordination, Ashley injects a dynamic energy into her role at the Tahoe City Downtown Association. With an unwavering commitment to growth and innovation, Ashley embraces every opportunity to expand her skill set and make a lasting impact. Her dedication to serving the community brings a fresh perspective and innovative solutions to her role here at Tahoe City Downtown Association.

Elise Whittall

Digital Content & Event Specialist

Elise Whittall, a familiar figure in Tahoe City for seven years, has been integral to the local restaurant scene, transitioning from hosting to management. Beyond her contributions to hospitality, Elise
shines at Basecamp Hotel, infusing her wealth of experience into creating memorable guest experiences. Growing up skiing at Alpine, Elise’s connection to the slopes is palpable in her roles as a winter Ski Patrol and Mountain Operations Dispatcher at Palisades Tahoe. This showcases her ability to navigate fast-paced environments for the safety and enjoyment of fellow
enthusiasts. In addition to her professional roles, Elise actively engages in freediving for the non-profit Clean Up The Lake, highlighting her dedication to environmental conservation. Her commitment to work and community involvement paints a dynamic picture of someone deeply connected to the unique rhythms of Tahoe City.

Sarah Winters Unbound Communications

 

Sarah Winters is an east coast transplant living in North Lake Tahoe and working within the North Lake Tahoe tourism community for over 12 years. Sarah is a creative and energetic professional, who launched her career in regional event planning before diving into tourism marketing, most recently leading the sales team at the North Lake Tahoe Community Alliance for over 7 years. From here, she took her expertise and started Unbound Communications, focusing on digital, communication, and tourism solutions for small businesses throughout the region.
