Alpenglow Sports is proud to announce the
fourth installment of 2013/14 Winter Film Series with world-famous high altitude ski mountaineer
and Marmot athlete Adrian Ballinger. Ballinger’s February 20th
Olympic Village Lodge will be one of several high profile events during the Alpenglow Mountain
Festival, a two-week celebration of human-powered winter sports.
An annual presenter in Alpenglow’s popular Winter Film Series, Ballinger is well known for
his professional guiding on Himalayan giants Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Cho Oyu.
Additionally, he is one of very few Americans to possess a full international IFMGA guiding certificate
and his professional resume has taken him on mountain adventures in South America, Europe, and

in the Sierra, local Tahoe guide and skier Adrian Ballinger chose the path of so many before him – to
The journey took him from the world’s most militarized border between India and Pakistan, to
the flanks of the world’s fourth tallest peak, Lhotse, in Nepal, to the high peaks of Peru’s Cordillera
Blanca. He also traveled into the Himalayan kingdom of Tibet, to attempt to climb and ski the
Turquoise Goddess, Cho Oyu, the world’s sixth tallest peak.
