Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction is an 8-week intensive training in mindfulness meditation for use in daily life and to help navigate life’s inevitable difficulties.

Mindfulness practice is ideal for cultivating greater awareness of the unity of mind and body, as well as of the ways unconscious thoughts, feelings, and behaviors can undermine emotional and physical health.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction uses gentle yoga to help reverse the prevalence of disuse atrophy from our culture’s largely sedentary lifestyle, especially for those with pain and chronic illnesses.

Mindfulness has been proven to be effective in helping to treat, along with medical and psychological treatments, people who suffer from many challenges, including:

  • Chronic disease and pain
  • Stress, anxiety and worry
  • Life-threatening illness
  • Problems with substances
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Headaches
  • Hypertension
  • Grief and loss
  • Depression
