North Lake Tahoe’s SnowFest is March 3-12, 2017

SnowFest 2017 is returning to North Lake Tahoe for its 36th year on March 3- March 12, 2017, a ten-day winter carnival filled with events and activities for all ages in celebration of North Lake Tahoe’s vibrant community.

The opening weekend of the North Lake Tahoe’s Annual SnowFest gets underway Thursday, March 2, with the kick-off party at Gar Woods Restaurant from 5:30 pm – late! The evening will include live music by jazz-funk band Groove Foundry, the crowning of the SnowFest Queen, raffle prizes and of course, Gar Wood’s world-famous Wet Woodys!

There is a lot to look forward to on this year’s calendar; the annual favorites are back such as the Polar Bear Swim, Bar Olympics, and the parades in Tahoe City and Kings Beach.

On and off the mountain, at North Tahoe’s numerous resorts and lakeside neighborhoods, there’s something for everyone. Fireworks will be held at Commons Beach in Tahoe City on Friday, March 3 at 8:30 pm and will set the stage for the Tahoe City SnowFest Parade on Saturday, March 4 at 11:30 am.
