imagesSchool is in session; fall is in the air…..thus, scarecrow season is quickly approaching. The Tahoe City Downtown Association (TCDA) would like to invite you to join us in celebrating the 12th Annual Tahoe City Oktoberfest, plus many other fall festivities next month.

Tahoe City’s fall festivities will kick-off on Saturday, October 1st, at the rustically beautiful Layton Park, outside Gatekeeper’s Museum, with the Tahoe City Oktoberfest and North Tahoe Arts “Kids Art Saturday”. Other Tahoe City fall events include the ever popular Tahoe City Parks & Recreation “Rideout Harvest Festival and Pumpkin Patch” on October 15 th and the town-wide Tahoe City Halloween Trick or Treat on October 31 st . Best of all, in October we hope to grace our town with scarecrows of every kind.scarecrow5

There are several ways you can participate in this year’s fall festivities. The first way is by creating your own scarecrow for our annual “Scarecrows on Parade” event. We love to see the amazing creations of our community members and how the scarecrows add a unifying town-wide display of artistic effort! We are always amazed by the creations!

Please join the Tahoe City Downtown Association, and the community, as we celebrate fall. We look forward to your participation. If you have any questions about the scarecrows, please contact Jamie at the TCDA 583-3348 or email us at [email protected].  CLICK HERE for the scarecrow application.
